My wife and I just got married in January. We're taking our first real family vacation together, and we're going to WDW in July. My wifes daughter in 13 and my son and daughter are 14 and 16 respectively. We're staying at Port Orleans, Riverside. We'll be there for 6 days. We are looking forward to it with great anticipation....maybe we'll see some of you there...

PS, I hate to say it, but you'll have a great time without the kids. Some of my fondest memories at WDW were with grown-ups...

Ok, I have a question for the Disneyland folks...
My wife and I are planning a trip to Disneyland in a few years (2009, for Sleeping Beauty's 50th anniversary, in case anyone wants to know)....
We are looking at either spring or winter (just before Christmas)....the pricing we have been looking at is basically the same, for either time of the year...
So, what are your opinions...this will be our first trip to Disneyland....would it be better to see it "normally" or decked out for Christmas....?

dave's right.
i think christmas is the most beautiful time of the year at disneyland, but if you want to see small world and mansion without overlays, it might not be a good time for your first trip. also, the week before christmas can be REALLY crowded depending on local school vacations...just as bad as or worse than march/april spring break crowds, even!

I'm not worried about Small World....hate the ride anyways....
but I'm torn between Holiday Mansion or regular Haunted Mansion...I'm a big fan of Nightmare and have wanted to see the Holiday Mansion since it first came out.....
But, I know the normal Haunted Mansion is different from our Haunted Mansion.......
There has been rumors that they would stop doing the Holiday Mansion, I'm thinking it might be best to see before it goes away for forever (ok course, only if it is still there in 2009)....
We are planning on being there for 5 days, plenty of time to do everything, multiple times, so I'm not too worried about crowds....What is the weather like? Really cold, mild, etc....down here, we are still in the 60's most days in December...

The normal Mansions aren't that different... I'd do the holiday mansion if I had the choice.
You're gonna love Indy. It's like Dinosaur, but 100 times better. In my opinion, the best ride in any park (assuming you like high-speed simulator-type rides).
