Congratulations kray on completeing the half marathon in 2:33. As soon as you've rested up and rehydrated, let us know how it went.
Start planning for next year's race which will be on September 2. _________________ [ |

I talked to kray's sister today and he only complaint about the race is that she felt like the sun was in her eyes the entire time.
But I agree to congratualtions on a great finish.
Oh, and figment, her next race is JANUARY...remember....that little race down in WDW?!?!??! _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

lol. 'little race.' geez.
i have good news. my great friend marsha is coming from colorado to visit me at disneyland in april! she's never been to california, and never been to a disney theme park! she's a huge fan, though, and is totally thrilled. i can't wait to help her make her dream come true! isn't disneyland best when you're there with people who are experiencing the place for the first time? |

Absolutely! We’ve brought a number of people to Disneyland for their first Disney experience (as well as first Disneyland experience) and it is fantastic to be able to share that with someone!
Have a great time! _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I brought my wife to WDW after we had been seeing each other for just about a year. She had never been. She was hooked from day 1. Now I think half of the clothes she owns have the Mouse on them, in addition to home furnishings. Our best Sunday dishes are from Disney Shopping.
But I wouldn't have it any other way. _________________ [ |

Well, I'm back from the Land and happy to say my first Disneyland experience was wonderful (like there was any doubt).
First of all, the 1/2 marathon was great. It was well organized with water / medical stations / entertainment provided throughout. My only comments to those considering next year's race: (1) have sunglasses / hat with you. The sun is brutal when the course turns east and (2) unlike WDW where the only way to the start is via bus, you can walk to the start here - there is NO NEED TO ARRIVE BEFORE 4:45 -5:00!!!! We were used to the WDW event and, being complete newbies to Disneyland arrived waaaaaaay to early!
My only "complaint" is that the route forced me to run by my hotel no less than 4 times!!! That is is cruel and unusual (on the first two passes, between 6 and 6:30 am, I could actually hear my bed calling me). The biggest plus, Disneyland had so many more characters out!!! That really added to the fun for all of us. Running through Angels stadium (on the warning track) was also a big kick.
Thanks for all your good wishes!! I was particularly pleased with my 10 mile split (around 1:53 chip time) and while I slowed a bit to get to my final 2:33, its still a PB and its all good! |

Alright! Let's not air our marital issues here in a public forum. And then you'll just drag up how many pair of running shoes I have in the closet and how my running clothes are always hanging on the shower rod.
We'll discuss this off line.
And by the way. How many things in yesterday's delivery were for you and how many for me? _________________ [ |

I'm planning on being at Disneyland on the 19th. I'm flying down for a wedding and I'm only going to be there for one day. I wish it could be longer but I can't miss the wedding or more school lol. Is anybody going to be there on Thursday? Maybe we could meet or something since I wasn't able to go to the Jamboree in August. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to get the most out of my one day trip and how i can get on the most rides in the day w/o waiting in long lines? LOL. All your suggestions and tips would be great! Thanks for all your help!

I'm headin' down from Seattle next Wednesday the 18th for 4 days and nights of Disneyland style Halloween fun. Also going to hit Knott's Scary Farm and Universal, but the main reason is definitely to check out the new decor before things go into Christmas mode.
Hope to see some of ya there!
