I haven't been on Space Mountain since they remodeled it a few years back. Has anyone gone? And is it better or worse than it used to be? |

Do you still sit "side by side" or are the seats like WDW now? |

You sit side by side. The only remodel they have had in the past few years was a "Rockin' Space Mountain" overlay last year, temporarily. It used the song "Higher Ground" performed by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, with a light show on the ride. Personally, I didn't care for it much, but it did have its adherents. I love the ride as it is currently. |

As much as I love the Chili Peppers and Space Mountain, there is already a Rockin' Roller Coaster. |

Darth,
I couldn't agree more, and hope to ride that one. The tinkering with Space Mountain took some of the fun out of the ride. The lighting on it revealed too much track in the normally dark building. I like not seeing where I'm going on that one. That, and they could have picked a better track than "Higher Ground." |

Hi again folks. I may or may not have commented on this before but personally I keep finding SPM leaving me with a cold feeling everytime I ride it. I know they've tried upgrading and refurbing it many times now but there still seems to be alot left to be desired when it comes to the overall experience.
Now don't get me wrong; I love a good jolt to the system as much as the next guy, but like with all things Disney I guess I'm expecting something a little bit more when it comes to a truly "thrilling" experience.
Anyway, I guess as long as people keep wanting something fast and furious they'll still find ways to keep SPM humming along. Well, it's late, until later. Peace. |

In my opinion, SPace Mountain is way better remodled than before. The music is great and the cars just glide around the track like nothing. I think it was very well done. Now if WDW could get some music on theirs... |
