[quote]Considering that the track was 34 years old, I'm sure there are some changes that are needed.
Plus, Disney isn't much on nostalgia, they want things to be fresh and new, even if it's old. I'm sure they see a 12 million investment as a new lure to get people back to WDW.
Uhh..... Hello??? Carousel of Progress and "gulp" Country Bears craporee!!!!

They should consider dropping a few thou on the Country Bears... I like to watch the show, but last time I was down there were so many bare spots on the bears you would have thought they had mange. |

Sit-down Nap ride vs. a rollercoaster? Even though they want things to be more KID oriented, they still want the things that are going to attract the older crowd. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

This little tidbit comes from Screamscape:
Park News - (7/6/09) I’ve been told that just before the end of July we will see demolition crews enter Tomorrowland who will begin the process of taking down the old Tomorrowland Skyway building, leaving only the restroom facility behind once complete. The restrooms will also be redone and they hope to have it all finished and ready in time for Space Mountain’s reopening, just in time for the Thanksgiving Holiday if possible.
So no chance the skyway will ever be back huh? I can maintain my hope (just like those Horizon people) _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

shame is Tomorrowland needs attractions. Wonder if they will eventually put something else in this spot. |

The suspense is killing me with no info on the refurb or confirmed details..
The HM refurb was full of leaks and we got lots of inside info throughout the whole process. I am just dying to find out what is all on tap for it.... Music, track choc chip cookie..etc... |

Not to mention if they are instituting a "Give back the Lost Camera" program... |

After Disneyland did their Space Mountain referb, they removed all those same elements from the exit, and auctioned them off. I actually have one of the Fed Ex containers that was there. I hope they do the same with WDW's stuff. I'd love something from this SM too!
(oh, and unless a delivery company is going to be the sponsor, I doubt they'll keep that scene) _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I've heard that they've found all sorts of sunglasses, flip flops and things on the bottom of this ride. They even found some poor guy's DENTURES! |

How much do you want to bet Bruce Broughton will be scoring the refurb track? |
