My daughter went with her Aunt.

All I was told is they said it was "good" last night. Got home too late for me, and they are still sleeping at this point.

I'm hoping to see it tomorrow with spouse.

We may see it tonight, if not, some time this weekend.

Okay, just got back from it.

Not going to ruin it, but I was somewhat disappointed. Especially in the music. I purposely had been staying away from any press of it so I could be surprised when I heard John Williams' genius grace my ears. Upon the first 5 minutes of the movie, I realized it was Nicholas Hooper. Bah.

Williams composes like an artist. Every significant character gets a theme and that theme is repeated when the character is a main piece of the scene. His stuff is memorable (Olympics, Jurassic Park, ET, Star Wars, etc.)
Hooper writes like he's on a treadmill. Nothing meshes or is memorable. It's almost like his compositions sound like a 2 hour theme for East Enders.

Saw it the other day. Not a bad movie. I'd put it in the top 3 of the 6 so far.

Frankly, I'd rather re-read the books. So much has to give way to time constraints that the warmth and intrigue of the movies just can not convey. Good movie, worth seeing at the cinema.

I thought this was well done...though, I'm not sure how folks who haven't read the books are keeping up. So much is left out-they've got to be wondering why some things are happening or why others are important.

Ah well...I'm very excited to see how the film/book is incorporated into the Wizarding World...and to planning a WDW trip with an extra day just to check it out!

I am sure that is what Universal loves to hear...

I'm sure it is...but al least Disney knows I'm not cutting their trip short either Wink

I'm more of a Disney geek...but book Potter is a very close second. I'm not sure if the Wizarding world will compete in the theme park arean...it isn't Disney...and there's only so much you can add/invent/change due to the canon that is Harry Potter.

That said, I'm giddy with anticipation to check it all out for the first time.

Hopefully right between the two DH movies....
