Gotcha, didn't I?
We've recently adopted a new kitten. Wait, I should say, he recently adopted us.
A little history of how we came to keep Kronk. Kronk found his way to our yard on Halloween night. We tried to shoo him away, but he didn’t want to leave. It got to the point where we couldn’t get out of our house because he was right there on the front stoop waiting for someone to open the door so he could come in. He even went so far as trying to follow Elizabeth on the school bus a couple of mornings. He was really taken with us. After 5 days of this we decided we needed to do something about this poor little orange tabby that seemed infatuated with us, so we took him in, gave him some food and kept him away from Spanky. Spanky has always been very territorial so we weren’t sure how Spanky would feel about another animal in the house.
We had a great time naming this little kitty. We wanted some help, so we called tE and his girlfriend for ideas. We were on the phone for a long time while names were thrown out as ideas. We finally settled on Kronk. It’s a funny name for such a little kitten, but he seems to like it. Anyway, here are a couple of pictures of our new bundle of joy:
I'll let Elizabeth, DP and tE share with you some of the other names we came up with for Kronk. _________________ *~deb~*

Several of my kitties were "adopted" the same way. They show up in the back yard and get somewhat attached to me.
That's how Trisket adopted me in 1995, how Rufus adopted me in 1997, and how Mewberry adopted me in 2002. There's another stray living in my backyard now, but he and Mewsie are bitter enemies, so I can't bring him in (they used to fight over who ruled the yard).
May Kronk have a long and happy life with you. _________________ --Rita |

Now since I had named Spanky, we had to let deb decide on the name. But we were able to suggest as many as we wanted.
My favorite was Spanky Junior.
He's still at the vet today...he had a few things removed...claws (he'll be an indoor kitty) and...ummm....things. Now we just need to let Spanky get used to his new little brother. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

Althought Spanky isn't too fond of Kronk, Spanky is a CHICKEN. If Kronk moves in his direction, Spanky will meow and RUN. Kronk is about 1/3 his size! But we love our Spanky, even if he is a big sissy! _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

Maybe he's having an identity crisis from all of those dang costumes you have him dressed in. He's got a larger wardrobe than Barbie.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Ok, so when Kronk returns from the vet, we'll start dressing him up too, just to put them on even ground. _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

We also almost named him Mr. Tinkles. It was my idea. But they thought Kronk was better, even though everyone I told liked Mr. Tinkles better. |
