First character that jumped to mind was Kronk. Wrists on him are crazy disproportionate to the rest of his arms!

Sounds like Treasure Planet is a possibility. The ship's captain was a female character in Disney's telling if this story, if I'm remembering right. Could be confusing it with the Muppet Treasure Island, though...
