We have reservations for breakfast at 'Ohana in January. We've eaten there before and I know they have changed the characters to Lilo and Stitch since then. My question is about the menu. I saw the menu posted on another Disney fan site. Mickey waffles were noticeably absent. Is this an error on the part of the site, or have they done away with the waffles? I didn't see the pineapple bread listed either, although the menu did say "assorted breads".
Has anybody been there recently and can update me. _________________ [ |

We were there in June and they did not have the Mickey waffles or the pineapple bread.... Since the menu had changed for dinner, I assumed the breakfast menu had followed course. You can call Disney Dining and confirm with them since they are suppose to have the updated menus. Or you can try the main resort operator and ask for Ohana's podium (407-824-2222) during breakfast hours and get the straight scoop. Good luck! ºoº _________________ John |

Thanks. Not that Mickey waffles are the "be all and end all" of dining, but that breakfast is light on the choices. I can get bacon and eggs for a lot less than $18.99 (plus tip) at any of the resorts. Granted there are the characters and the view of the castle. I enjoyed my dining experience there, but I wanted more. This will be a family reunion of sorts for us.
I wanted to go back to 'Ohana because my grandson likes Stitch. But I know he'll like the other characters as well.
I called Disney dining and made reservations for that morning at Chef Mickey's and cancelled 'Ohana. We ate at Chef Mickey's last January and I think the choices offered will please all 12 of us. And it will be different since half of the people going have already experienced 'Ohana at least once. _________________ [ |

I am happy to report that Chef Mickey's is still serving Mickey waffles. But on the down side, Chip and Dale are no longer among the characters featured.
Dined at "Liberty Tree Tavern" for the first time and it was excellent. Chip and Dale are still employed there. My mother has some food allergies, and the chef came right to the table to speak with her. A separate plate was prepared for my mother. This is not the first time either, which is why my mom and dad wanted to take us there. We will definitely dine there again. _________________ [ |

Mickey waffles.
It's not breakfast without Mickey waffles.
I also ate at Liberty Tree Tavern the evening after the Marathon.
Was great to get a good meat at potatoes meal after a long run.
We eat there often and will go back again in February. |
