So I was thinking about some of the awesome franchises that Disney is assosiated with such as the Muppets and Star Wars. I know the do not have total control over these two franchises but i think both are under used. I find myself wondering which of these two franchises would you like Disney to use more? I'm split between both but for this post pick one and why? _________________ Jason

I'd choose Star Wars.
My reasoning is that Star Wars primarily targets older kids and adults while Muppets primarily targets a younger audience. Not that adults can't be head over heals for Muppets or toddlers like Star Wars, I'm just generalizing.
I can see thrill rides and such for Star Wars (aka Star Tours), and cutesy stuff for Muppets (kiddy rides, like in Toon Town).
Oohh, and could you imagine the Star Wars bar they could have at Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney (themed after the bar in the movie of course). Adult beverages with glowstick light sabers for stir sticks!!!
So, being an adult with no kids, I'd choose Star Wars.
(Please don't beat me up because of my reasoning ). |

gee....why not just pit my childhood against itself!
While the possibilities for awesome Star Wars rides, restaurants, bars, areas and other stuff (that big figure Jedi Mickey is pretty sweet), I do think the Muppets are a little under used. Not nearly as much Muppet stuff around as there was Star Wars.
The LCI project and the use of Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beeker that's out at DCA seems like a good start to getting some more out there of wacky fuzzy ones. I just hope its a sign of more to come.
Not that I would really complain with more Star Wars stuff, though... |

I fell the same way. One of my bigest internal conflicts is to watch a Star Wars movie or an episode of the Muppets when I can't sleep. _________________ Jason

Could just watch the episode of the Muppet Show when C3PO, R2D2, Chewbacca and Luke were on. Gonzo dressed up as Vader for the Pigs in Space number.
Man, did that warp my fragile little mind.... |

I'd pick Star Wars. Just think it themes better. Although in reality, I'd like to see more of another Series... Indy. |

Well, just to correct a minor thing... Disney does have direct control of the Muppets... they bought them from Henson Productions...

I love how the WDW parks incorporates both. I got to go to multiple Star Wars Weekends last summer, which really changes the entire MGM park experience. I think a little more incorporation for the newer Star Wars films would be cool, but I love the original Star Tours and hope they keep it. However I also love the Muppets and I think a live stage show version of the Muppet Show at MGM would be really cool. Even have a different celebrity guest star every week, this would be great for adults as the original muppet shows were and will be just as entertaining for kids.
Having a Star Wars Cantina bar at Downtown Disney would be the coolest though! |

OK, here's the solution...when they update the Star Tours ride...why not incorporate "Pigs in Space"....
Instead of Rex, we could put in Proffesor Bunsen B. Honeydew, and Beaker could be the co-pilot. We could visit all the planets from Star wars, and at the end crash into the Muppet Theater....
....too silly.....ya......I think so, too.... |

Oh my gosh, what a great idea! I'd hang out there... I can just imagine the cocktail names...
My vote has to be for Star Wars - I'm a huge SW geek. |
