We have returned........... Crying or Very sad

I must say that do to a very unfortunate accident on above all things (SPACE MOUNTAIN) I lost my new $400.00 digital camera with over a weeks worth of great photos and first time trip memories for my daughter. I had it tucked into my front pocket on a previous ride 20 minutes earlier on Space Mountain so I used the rider switch with a friend of ours and got on it again and this time just after the first drop it goes down and up agin it caused it to come pop out of my shirt pocket and into the darkness of SPACE MOUNTAIN below........... I had taken alot of great shots ( yes of the wand too!!!!) I can say that it is coming down quickly.. all the lettering is gone The hand and wand are still there no letters.... They do a great job of hiding the crane and keeping it tucked right up into the framework that is the hand and wand. so not too bad of an eyesore....

I went to lost and found the next morning ( right in the kennel bldg) to see if they found it in the sweep that night ..... NO LUCK Rolling Eyes

They told me to go to city hall to register the lost item that way it gets checked against any items being brought in that might match the lost items description. So I registered it with them they gave me a number to call everyday to see if it got found on that nights walk thru. So far nothing Crying or Very sad

Each day that goes by I am losing more and more hope.......
They told me they bring in garbage bags full of items daily from that ride... They even told me a prosthetic leg was found at the bottom one night.... Don't even know how to answer that....... Shocked

So I will give a full trip report on here soon, I hope to get the camera back soon or at the least when they do a complete refurb it will have to turn up then???? Sad

I'm SO SORRY to hear that you lost those memories. I'm sure the camera will not be in any condition to work, but maybe the card the photo's are on survived. Have faith, it is Disney and magic can happen.

3 weeks from today Donna and I will be departing for WDW. We'll warn them about the rest of you coming for the Jamboree.

Grumpy is smart. He's not going until later in the month so as not to be associated with the rowdy group.
