A big Disney Day in History...

Again as i was looking over the changing headlines on my news tab i stumbled across this famous fact (which I'm sure most everyone here is aware of):

"Today's Highlight in History:

On Nov. 18, 1928, Walt Disney's first sound-synchronized animated cartoon, "Steamboat Willie" starring Mickey Mouse, premiered in New York."

It just makes me smile contetedly that todays "highlight" is Disney...not a war...or politcal race....rather something magical!

Go Mickey! We were talking about today yesterday at our annual team meeting at the store. Not everyone knew the significance of 11/18. They do now.

My grandfather was born Nov. 6 1928 so I call him my Mickey Mouse grandpa. It was funny a few years back we all went to Disneyland and my grandpa was having a full discussion with Mickey Mouse about the year 1928

Hi. Once again I'm late to a party. You would think that date as significant as 11/18 would be forever etched in my memory bank. I guess it only means that I'm getting older too. Anyway, another belated happy anniversary to Mickey and Disney in general seeing as how 11/18/28 really was the start of something big. Peace.
