Apparently there was a small fire yesterday at Innovations. According to what I've read on some sites, the fire was nothing big just a ton of smoke, was something in the A/C system...
As part of the RCFD repsonse, they had to drive a couple of engines into Epcot and park them between Innoventions and SSE. You can see the video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nd4pNdci4qw
Glad it wasn't anything of concern, but I think it would have been cool to have been there when it happened! _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

Very glad it wasn't anything major.
But you are right! It would have been cool to have been there when they
drove Fire Truck in to EPCOT. |

It would have been really cool if Mickey and the gang were on the truck waving. _________________ [ |

A Fireman Mickey and Goofy waving from the truck.
Now that's something you don't see every day. |

and if that weren't enough:
Fire at Disneyland Fantasmic Show
As if the delay of the new audio-animatronic dragon at Disneyland's Fantasmic weren't enough, a boat involved in the show caught fire this week during a performance. The Mark Twain steamboat caught fire during a pyrotechnic effect in which flames were supposed to ignite on the Rivers of America. Disneyland's fire department reported no damage and suggested the flames probably would have died out on their own.

a goofy fireman.... would make a great view, but as I recall from his sports movies, his sports skills were not so good. Maybe this should just stay Mickey and some other characters.
Wonder why they drove a fire engine in. Didn't they still have that one parked inside innovation for the fire safety display?
I would have liked to see them run a line out the door and drop it in the fountain of nations to pump water....
Seriously though. Glad no one was hurt. |
