Disney-area McDonald's robbed, two employees tied up
Witnesses said a man wearing a hood and gloves robbed the McDonald's on Buena Vista Drive near Disney, deputies said.
A man robbed a Disney-area McDonald's restaurant this morning, authorities said.
Orange County Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a robbery at the McDonald's restaurant at 1674 E. Buena Vista Drive just before 7 a.m, the agency said.
The restaurant is in the Downtown Disney entertainment, dinning and shopping complex, records show.
Deputies found two employees tied up inside.
Witnesses said a man wearing a hood and gloves "came inside demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash,'' the sheriff's office said in a statement. "Neither of the victims had injuries and there is no information regarding weapons."

I've always been a bit concerned about the security at Downtown Disney. It's so accessible to the general public, unlike many of the other areas of Disneys complex.
I'm glad that no one was injured...but maybe it's time to beef up security there. |

well...get your booty back there...and give them "heck"!
of course my comment was not designed to put down the security team...I'm sure they have a tremendous staff with a very difficult job on their hands... |

No, you were right.
Just kidding, they do what they can. The law enforcement presence there afterhours could be better, I suppose. |

They'll quarantine DTD and make you go through security like CityWalk |

The article did not say which Disney guard was under review.
The one that tasered his partner or the one that allowed his partner to taser him.
Neither seems like a bright move to me. And you would expect a deputy with 18 years experience would know better. |
