please tell me this is a cruel joke... I can't imagine the same families taking kids to see princess is going to want to scare the heck out of them on Lost.
Wasn't that one of the things they said did in Alien Adventure? Now repeating that on an entire Island? I'd rather they go back to the Treasure Island concept. That was much more family friendly. |

I love the show dearly, but I'm afraid that this will be VERY dated in 5 years, just like every Universal Orlando attraction that is based on an early 90's movie. |

That would be the coolest thing. It's like they had the Myst Island on the shelf till this concept came along. Anyone who's seen lost knows how much fun this could be. True, it may not really be for kids, but it's something for kids to look foward to as they get older. I looked foward to Space Mountain for 2 years before I was finally tall enough! |

This is a legitimate concern, particularly as the show enters its last season and ratings continue to drop, however, I think Disney could put together something that would stand the test of time. Take the Swiss Family Robinson, for example. That film came out almost fifty years ago, but the Treehouse attraction at MK is as wonderful and relevant as ever.
I think a LOST attraction could work if it was a walk-through similar to the Swiss Family Treehouse. Maybe a recreation of the Swan complete with countdown timer? If they went for something simple rather than trying to touch every convoluted detail of the show's mythology, I think it'd work. |

And this is when Walt needs to come back from the dead.
Look at the comments though, the people want it! That's pretty sad. _________________ Wish I was at Epcot... |

Except that it was changed at DL to Tarzan... I think they haven't changed ours because Tarzan wasn't that well received and they have nothing else to match the theme/structure...
Then on the flip side, Disney did add the American Idol attraction, which most people feel is probably 5 years too late...
But, I doubt they would ever do anything with Discovery Island for a while... especially not with most of the funds being funneled to Fantasyland. _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

People want a lot of things that are bad for them. Just because you can do something does not mean you should do it. |

Speaking of islands... Can anyone confirm/deny?
"Park News - (10/22/09) Screamscape has heard a new rumor that something spooky may be cooked up over at Tom Sawyer’s Island next fall. Anyone know more?"
