Apparently Cosmic Ray has taken a voyage from his food franchise in Buena Vista Florida and now has a speaking role here in Anaheim.
It's like watching a mobile version of videopolis from the 1980s.
I totally forgot to post these...Sorry about that... _________________

I think it's cool they are offering that as something different for Grad nights. I'm happy it's not happening all the time.
When I was a grad night i remember waiting in the Space queue FOREVER because the ride kept going down...and of course we hrode with the lights on because of all the problems.it was fun.
I know the video isn't GREAT quality...but it seems to be a bit of sensory overload to me!

it's something just around the corner...cast previews are coming up.
I hope it changes...it sounds a bit corny actually...and they have projections of astronauts playing guitar...it's definitly like Videopolis "the ride".
very 80s but in a family friendly sort of way..with 21st century music. _________________

The answer will shock and astound you $0.00 It's premier was at Grad Nite, but the ability to do it has been built in since Space Mountan reopened. It will be rgular feature in 2007. They are planning on running normal Space Mountain during the day and this version at night, the exact time of the change over is unknown, but apparently will happen every day. So bottom line is it will give two experiences in the same day, the goal is to get more people to stay for the entire day, rather than either leaving early or coming in a bit later, this way they make more money off of food, drinks, etc. This was officially announced with the plans for the Dreams promotion, the timing wasn't announced, but Rock-It mountain was announced as a regular item. |

They're discussing a namechange too...The budget for the new "mountain" wasnt all it was cracked up to be and met with mediocre critiques from various CMs at Disneyland...
The entire attraction has NOT been there since it opened last year. Fine tuning was still going on...while it's true you can see "RockIt Mountain's" sign embedded into the current illuminated space mountain sign, There were a lot of aspects to figure out still (like music, etc).
There's also no idea how they can simply do this without causing a 30 minute (or more) shutdown of the attraction....the simple "flip a switch and it's converted" isnt going according to plan apparently. _________________

The basics have been there since it reopened, yest there is still fine tuning and a 30 minute shut down isn't that big of a deal, it does that just about every day on it's own anyway, just schedule it into the Fastpass system, this gives the ride a much needed reset time during the middle of the day. |
