I guess Im one of the older ones 47 years young.
But I remember all the old Disney shows on TV from when I was a kid, and I saw Mary Poppins as an original release, and I had an old metal Mickey Mouse lunchbox that I just had to have in the 5th grade.
I remember hearing of a new Disney theme park being built in Florida, and my first trip there in 1972... I WAS HOOKED. And jast as much of a thrill as my own first trip was, I remember in 1996 taking my 2 kids to Disney World. They're not as big of fans as I am,and they wish sometimes we'd vacation someplace else, but they still love it! |

Hi everyone!
The first time I went to disneyland was in 97. I took my son for his 2nd birthday and have been addicted ever since! We have been to disneyland 5 times, Disney World twice (going again in September) and Disneyland Paris once.
I too share WDW's birth year 1971 so I'm 35. I am such a girl about my age so I usually stretch the truth a bit and say I'm 32. Since you all are so nice i felt like I could be honest

I still feel like a kid most of the time....so much to learn and experience. Really, I've entered into that 30ish range...and it just doesn't seem relevant anymore.

I can proudly say that I AM the oldest on board! And being a female, I am not shy about telling my age.
I turned 7 years old shortly after DL opened in 1955. My first visit there was in 1957 when I was almost 9.
Therefore that make me the oldest here!
For those of you who are not so good at math...it makes me 57 and PROUD of it!!!!
Now, if someone could please help me back to my rocking chair and hand me my shawl I would be so grateful. |

I'm really surprised. Like I said I'm 37. (and act and feel about 12, and still get carded 1/2 the time - whoo-hoo!). Anyways, I don't know why but I always figured I'd be one of the few "older" people here. I guess I'm so used to my friends telling me they've "outgrown" Disney. Bunch of bs in my opinion.
Anyways, it's nice to know I'm in good company - and that there are other "kids" here my age!!!! |
