We're always voting for our favorites, so I thought I'd turn things around.
Which premium resort are you least attracted to? And which moderate resort and why?
(Let's admit, ALL WDW resorts are absolutely incredible, so nobody take offense to others opinions)
In the premium category I am least attracted to the Contemporary - to me it is too cold and bare.
In the moderate, I'm least attracted to Coronado Springs - basically of where I live, if I want to feel like I'm in Mexico I'll go to Mexico - it's a whole lot closer. |

I love just about every resort there. I think each one is really geared towards other people.
BUT... I think one I'm not attracted to is the Swan and Dolphin Resort mainly because the resort really doesn't have the closeness to the Disney magic as the other resorts are _________________ Attention travelers, please remain seated. Your vechile will be rotating backwards. -Spaceship Earth |

hahaha.
yacht club and beach club sort of mist off into the great bland void for me. oddly enough, though, i found the beach club VILLAS the most appealing of the DVC stuff i'd seen.
CB is the voidiest of the moderates, to me.
of the values, probably sports. meh and double meh on that theme.
i totally get what you mean about the contemporary, though. some people can't handle the bunkerlike cementness, but i think it actually has a lot of character for its era. it's very perky when compared to, say, Evans Hall at UC Berkeley or an ugly Eames chair... |

Although I haven't stayed at Caribbean beach in about 13 years, I remember it being way too wide open, and a long walk to anything depending on where you stayed. _________________ [ |

Deluxe: Boardwalk (just don't like the feel of the place)
Moderate: Caribbean Beach (too spaced out)
Value: ? (we've only stayed at Sports, Movies and Pop Century) _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I agree, I've never had a bad experience at a WDW resort. I do have my favorites, though:
Deluxe: Contemporary (gotta love that MK view!)
DVC: Boardwalk and Beach Club
I agree with Caribbean being to spread out, but the rooms are larger and that can come in handy sometimes. |

Least? hmmmm...
Deluxe - I'd tentatively say the Contemp (I love all deluxe accomds)
Moderate - Coronado (It's always full of convetion folk)
Affordable - The AllStars and Pop Cent. - Ughhh so tacky!!!
That's right I said it, and feel better for having said it. |

Deluxe, probably the Grand Floridian....... I really like the Poly and Contemporary, so one of them had to be the odd one out....
Moderate, Caribbean Beach, without a doubt..... too me it reminds me run down beach houses....
Value, none.... too me, they are all the same, even Pop Century.... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

OK, so I forgot to mention my least favorite
Without a doubt its the All Stars. They are a great deal, but the two times we stayed there, the place was crawling with groups of teens there for one competition or another! |

I have not stayed at many, but I will not let that stop me from weighing in.
I am sure they all actually have great service.
For the Deluxe, I have to admit the contemporary has no appeal for me. For moderate, I'd have to say Coronado. (I actually liked the Carribean...)
For value... the all star sports just boes not appeal to me... |

Ok Dixielandings-
I like all the deluxe resorts too - BUT - let's pretend you're calling to make a reservation at a deluxe resort, with money as no object, and your first choice is sold out, and so is your second choice, as well as your third, you keep calling and your down to the last deluxe resort - what resort is this last one ????? |

Funny how everyone has different opinions. I happen to love CBR just because it is spread out - I find it so nice and relaxing after a busy day in the parks - and love the peaceful walk to Old Port Royale. Good thing Disney has so many choices - we can all be happy!
Now, my least favorites. That's hard. But for the deluxe I'd have to say the Yacht Club. Too stuffy for me - although I wouldn't mind a stay at the Beach Club someday.
For the Moderates, it would have to be Port Orleans French Quarter. Just don't like the theme - it doesn't do anything for me. We've never stayed at Coronado, but we will be in February so I'll have to report back then.
As for Value, that All Star Sports would be at the very bottom of my list. _________________ Kathy

Deluxe: Saratoga Springs location doen't appeal to me, and I'm not a big fan of the theme
Moderate: Cornado Springs is the only pne I haven't stayed at..... It's a glorified convention center
Value: All Star Sprots becasue it's in the middle of the other 2 and there really is no privacy. |
