I love Disneyland at Christmas, also in the spring nothing beats a spring day in SoCal. WDW I think is best during the food and wine fest. I also love the winter for the temp. _________________ Jason

I second the F&W Festival time for WDW, it is Setp/Oct time frame.... cooling weather (but not cold) and less crowded.... best time of the year... _________________ Up or Down North, South, East, or West An Adventurer's Life is Best! |

Disneyland at Christmas is the best. April-May is beautiful, too. I like Oct/Nov at WDW. |

Donna and I like October. The crowds are not bad, except for the F&W festival at Epcot. We can get value season rates depending on when we check in, the weather is nice, and thwere is a race for the festival.
Plus, that was when I first took Donna, (2003) and when I proposed to her (2005).
I've been during the late April/early May time frame as well and I like that too, as long as you don't go during school vacation weeks.
Then again, early January is good. Marathon weekend, smaller crowds the week after, good room rates.
Okay, I don't know when I like it best! _________________ [ |

Late October for halloween is allways fun. The weather is still nice
and the crowds are not too bad.
I also like early January for marathon weekend even if I don't
do too much around the race. |

1. Early December - after the Thanksgiving crowds have gone. Nice weather and beautiful decorations.
2. Early May - beautiful weather and smaller crowds
3. Any day of the year |

We like mid September best - just after school starts. Very small crowds and value rates.
October would be a close second when the Halloween decorations are out - but the last 2 years at DL during this time were sooooo crowded. |

Traditionally we've gone in October and May (to avoid the heat of the summer).
However, since we became DVC members our vacation habits have changed. We've gone twice now for a short January trip (3 nights--last year for the Expedition Everest Sneak Peak, and this year for the Pirate & Princess Party), and now also try to go in early December.
Next year we have our first Disney Cruise scheduled in March, so we'll add in a few days at WDW for that.
You just gotta love those Southwest DING! fares. _________________ --Rita |

I've only been during October, Febuary, March and December. I love it during the holidays but as for crowd wise, I prefer October since schools are back in. _________________ Attention travelers, please remain seated. Your vechile will be rotating backwards. -Spaceship Earth |

WDWFan, you have to be careful.
For Walt Disney World:
We typically go in late September/Early October. School is in and the weather is still nice enough to swim without any chill at all. From our last 3 trips, however, anytime around Columbus Day is packed (I believe that Florida gets that day off, whereas here in the northeast, we don't). Additionally, the weather is actually too hot (mid 90's) and you're still slightly into hurricane season. A few years ago, we narrowly missed a hurricane that knocked down a few trees around the All Star Sports resort.
I love December for the special events, and if the other posters say that it's not crowded in early Dec (we typically have gone in the middle of Dec and it's been crowded), that would be my pick as well.
Disneyland:
I just went to DL the week of March 12th, and it was packed, so I'd avoid March at DL (spring break perhaps?). I don't know about WDW. |
