Our new kitty

We lost our Maine Coon, Raider, last year to cardiomyopathy. He fell asleep in the upstairs hallway and didn't wake up again. Doug and I have been missing him really badly.

So I found a Maine Coon breeder in our area, and we put down a deposit on a kitten. We finally brought him home on June 18th.

(here's the Disney part of the story)
When we register him, his name will probably be Henry Jones, Jr., or maybe Dr. Henry Jones, Jr. Anyone care to take a guess what his call name will be (his call name is already in use at our vet's office)??

If anyone needs a hint, there are attractions to his namesake at Disneyland, Disney-MGM Studios, Disneyland Paris, and Tokyo DisneySeas.

He may be adorable, but he's a little terror. And he's also a water baby. He loves to sleep in the bathroom sink, jumps into the tub after someone takes a shower, and generally loves to play with water. He didn't even panic when Doug gave him a bath last week.

Indiana when he's bad, Indy when he's good.

If adventure has a name, it must be Indiana Jones.

Rita, he's such a cutie! We adopted a pregnant stray last year, and we're pretty sure Kitten Daddy is at least part Maine Coon. (Indy looks like two from our litter.) I've read before that Maine Coons like water, and from what I've seen of ours it's true. One of them, Dorian, loves sitting in the sink, even if it's wet, and never gets tired of splashing under the faucet. Alice makes a beeline for the shower when I turn off the water. Of course, the two that have fallen into the bathtub with me haven't been too happy about it... Very Happy
