Delta Dreamflight. I know If You Had Wings came before, but this is what I remember and loved, though I do recall that on a home movie of ours, there was footage from "If You Had Wings." That was when I was two or three years old.
I plan to pursue a career in aviation, so I'm sure Delta Dreamflight inflamed my passion, beyond the times my parents took me to Orlando International Airport to see the planes take off and land.

I really miss Horizons, I only have faint memories of riding it as a child. I love the audio and the concepts. Would have been great to ride it as a teen or an adult. I also miss the original pavilion that was where innoventions is now, I believe?? Had lots of sci-fi themed Disney stuff and robots. But mostly I miss the original "Journey into Imagination" with Figment, it was my favorite ride as a child. Let's just say old Epcot |

Old Epcot indeed. I forever prefer Dreamfinder over Dr. Nigel Channing and the "Imagination Institute." The original worked because Figment was just as much into plumbing the depths of imagination as Dreamfinder was. Figment didn't have to be a teacher and try to convince anyone that imagination was important. |

Don't forget the ones that did the t-shirts at Disney Village (when I saw them)/Downtown Disney. Come to think of it, are they still there? |

Alien Encounter was better than Stitch's Great Escape anyway. It tied well into Tomorrowland. |

Alien Encounter had to go. It was way too intense for the family-friendly Magic Kingdom. The unfairly-maligned Stitch's Great Escape is a much better fit for that park.
Don't be so afraid and hateful of change, folks.

On the note of Tomorrowland I'll always miss the Galaxy Palace Theater, I saw a lot of great shows there as a kid. Even just the kid groups that played there, it was a nice place to relax. My family has a great video of a show there around 93'-94' with all the main Disney characters singing everything from Elvis to Rap. It was a lot of fun, would love to hear that audio on UAB someday. |
