|
|
We just awoke from a great sleep after having been up for 40 hours straight (yeah, 40 hours straight!).
Our room is in the Grans Californian and overlooks DCA (Condor Flats) and if we look to the right, we can see the Matterhorn. It's a Fantastic room!
After we got our room and we unpacked, we went to DL for a few hours, rode some of our favorites (Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Pirates and HM), had some dinner and did some shopping. We then came back to the room and crashed hard (ya know, since we had been up for 40 hours straight!)
Today will be a glorious day with hitting the parks and meeting up with friends. We can hardly wait.
We'll check in when we can! _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

So wonderful!!! One year we had the very same view!! It was awesome!
If you're able to head up to the concierge, they play the music when the fireworks are going so it all looks just like you're there!!!
Hope you guys have a GRAND time...
Ah......THE GRAND!!!

My friend Elyse is heading out there for D23, too. I am so jealous! I said it once before, but someone PLEASE tell me if they make a Star Tours 2.0 announcement. _________________ Beth's Blog |

Jason, we're going to Mimi's for breakfast then to the Expo for 8am. Want to join us for breakfast? If not, where would you like to meet? _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

Apparently Disney is upset about some stuff being leaked...read here: http://www.bizjournals.com/losangeles/stories/2009/09/07/daily23.html
The article includes this statement: ""Bob Iger kicked off the lavish D23 Expo with no major news and a rather coy answer on the Captain EO topic, as apparently Burbank is furious both the Star Tours and EO info leaked ahead of (Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Chairman) Jay Rasulo’s planned announcements on Saturday...."
[edit] Hope all of you out there at the Expo are having a GREAT time...and deb, DP...enjoy the GRAND! Do you have a shot of your view?? |

That's funny - the only reason I knew they were making a ST announcement is because the 501st was invited to be there. It makes it kind of obvious... _________________ Beth's Blog |

In regard to hotels- I know you're talking about DL hotels, however I've stayed at the Poly here at WDW, and they supply wonderful H2O products for their toiletries. Has anyone stayed at the Contemporary recently and had them as well? I have a trip fast approaching, and would like to leave shampoo & conditioner at home if I can. I'm not sure if east & west coast use the same supplier for such things. Probably the wrong place for the question, and I apologize if so, but... Well, forgive me Please. |

Beth--I actually laughted out loud when I read your response...they have NO reason to be upset!!
I've stayed at a number of the resort hotels at WDW and they have all used the Spa H2O products. I prefer the Grand there in Cali...they have the Spa collection which is an oatmeal soap versus the round white ones in the H2O collections.
Hope that helps...I'll be at the Contemporary in 3 WEEKS!!!
