I wonder what happened. I got the e-mail, and downloaded it yesterday. Just checked it again, works fine. |

Just checked again (10:24pm on 5/8/10) and still no ability to download yet. Maybe the site is having issues, not the application.
Bummer...I've been waiting for it! _________________ When you're curious, you find lots of interesting things to do.

I see what you are saying.
I went to www.DisneyVacationConnection.com.
That link re-directed me to
http://directmessagelab1.com/services/syndication.aspx?brandID=460&
Which says, "We are busy making changes- the download button will be back soon."
I think you are right about them having issues.
When I turned on the computer this morning, the widget was blank except for a message that said "We're Sorry. Check back soon for new messages." Then it disappeared, and the widget returned with the same stuff it had when I first downloaded it. The count down clock is still tick'n, and so are the links that are attached to the widget. The "magic" button works. "Gallery" & "Add" are coming soon. Home, My destination, Events calander, Trip tools, My settings, and all videos attached to the widget are working.
Maybe I am part of a "trial run". |

Yeah, it's definitely still down. I signed up to be notified about it months ago, and when I finally had a chance to go download it, it was down. So disappointing. |

I was excited to get the email Friday while at work and couldn't wait to go download it. I get home and no dice.
Hopefully it doesn't go the way of the Yeti...

I have the widget, haven't fiddled too much, but I'm not seeing how it's going to simplify trip planning? Going directly to the Disney sites still seems preferable---all in one.
The countdown to the trip bit is pretty cool, though.
Not sure about everyone else, but when opened, my 'suitcase' takes up my entire screen!

I wish they would address their Disneyland site and make it at least half as nice as WDW's.
Still waiting on the widget link to work... |

Just an update, the widget is still not downloadable.
And, yeah, the whole booking system at Disneyland needs to be overhauled, not just the website functionality. Why they are not running the same system as WDW, I don't know. Last time I went to Disneyland, I accidentally forgot my vacation package packet, and I had to repay for everything when I got there. Even though they had me on record as buying and I had the proper ID, they would not re-issue my tickets or hotel room, and they would only refund my money once I had my packet overnighted to the hotel and brought it to the ticketing office.
At WDW, I don't need any of that stuff. Just my ID. How is this not easier? |

My widget has been downloaded and working since the day it was announced. Weird. I can hardly wait for the overhaul of the Disneyland Resort website---I have high hopes
